Did you ever come across this three flags—TODO, FIXME, and XXX—in Java comments? They are quite useful; easy to search for and Eclipse just displays them in the task view.
Although the flags are somewhat self-explaining, here a short explanation:
TODO — Something that has to be done to provide a certain functionality.
FIXME — A piece of faulty code which has to be fixed and doesn't work.
XXX — Code which works but is buggy and should be fixed. (The character sequence «xxx» has originally been used by organisations like the military in radio connections, especially on HF (Morse, RTTY etc), and introduced a very very important message.)
To priorize the tasks, you may start the comment with a number:
// FIXME 0 Regular Expression does not find matches which start with a dot
// TODO 3 Give a short help message
Eclipse calls this flags reminders. You can specify other reminders via Java > Compiler > Task Tags
